OMFG seeing it in IMAX would be amazing. :D Sadly, the IMAX theater is way too far away for me to go to when I have a huge one right down the road from me. xD

...I'm the only one who didn't like it.

I thought it was poorly edited, the plot left a lot to be desired, and I didn't really buy into some of the cheesier bits. I know, I know, it's Transformers, it's meant to be cheesy, but it was trying just a little too hard at some points. It felt a bit rushed.

The transformers got more screentime but not a lot of actual development, which disappointed my hardcore Transformers-fan friends. You really need to buy into the romance from the first film to get into it.

The CGI has got a lot better, though - you can actually see what's happening in the fights, rather than it just being kind of a blurry blob.

Overall, I think the story they had could have been told in much less time. I never found myself wanting to leave or wishing I wasn't there, but it certainly wasn't hugely immersive. I was vaguely entertained. I'd give it two stars.

Haha yeah I wasn't ever a huge Transformers cartoon fan so I think that helps. I was reading up on wiki and it does seem that they changed/edited/left out quite a bit. I think if I was a hard core fan I wouldn't like it as much. But b/c I'm not I was able to enjoy it. :D

I loved that they put the climax in the desert so it wasn't hard to tell who was the bad guys and who were the good guys. When I saw the 1st movie in theaters I was like, WHO'S THE GOOD GUY?! IS HE GOOD?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!?!?! XD I loved that we got to see faces and they were all different. ^___^ I wish they'd explained how/when/why the new autobots got there though.

I REALLY loved Jetfire though. :D He was just so... bumbling and funny and badass at the same time. :D
