So, I keep thinking it myself, and I see lots of comments about this.
Can we get a "like" option for entries? And then we can browse the ones that get likes on them? No need for a dislike button ;D Just...like? hahaha. What do you guys think? |

I think it's too much like Facebook.

Good idea.
I've always HATED the option of a dislike option. It breeds hate and negativity, and online communities don't need it. |

Especially this one.
It's like Bloop "Walk-On-Egg-Shells" Diary. |

Lol well I like a bit of drama but the people on this site tend to be overly sensitive and it wouldn't work!

My sentiments exactly.
People might just 'dislike' something simply because of the person who wrote it. No need for it ;D |

facebook wasn't the first place to have the like feature, I'm for it, but I think adding "dislike" button would be as good, for like news stories, since thats how some blogs are, and steves potentially adding blog elements. I second the liking of this thread

I agree! I like the "like" and "dislike" button idea.

We have become too dependent on the "Like" button!
What happened to saying "Wow! That's awesome! I really like that!" Next, we'll just be saying "LLLLL!" By the way, I "LLLLL" this thread. In actuality, I am for the "Like" button. |

Hahah, I think you were totally one of the comments I saw mentioning the like button ;D

How is that constructive at all though? I'm sorry, I'd much rather have actual communication when well, communicating with other people.
Not that hard to say "I like this" and give a reason. Sometimes I ramble. What exactly about it did you like? Etc etc... |
Acid Fairy Post Count: 1849 |
But sometimes you can't be arsed to write anything, and sometimes you just like something for no particular reason!

I don't think it would be used like that, I think it would go towards the point of where if someone sees that a lot of people "like" this one particular entry, it would encourage them to read it too, to see just why everyone is "liking" that entry.

I think that would be the 'perfect' scenario that more than likely wouldn't happen. I think the novelty of people saying that they like an entry only gets you so far. After x-amount of time people are just going to click 'like' and leave it at that because it's easy. Shows that you've been there. Doesn't show much else, though. I honestly like to read an entry and then read through comments if it's been particularly remarked on. Gives me something else to do and allows me to see more thought out opinions on whatever was being said. :/ Ah well.
