Ok, I didn't know where else to go, but I figured that you all would be good at this. I've gotta come up with a logo for a restaurant, and I need font that would really make it stand out. I'm looking on DaFont for one, and was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me find one that would be good for a cafe that's near a river. The cafe's name is "Cafe Riviera" and, also, any suggestions for a logo would be helpful too. Thanks guys.

I'm not liking the first one, it'll be hard to read without doing a double take. The second and third look like YE OLDE CAFE RIVIERA.

So, my next question is, would you go to a restuarant based solely on that font? What I'm doing is having to make a presentation, and it involves pretty much making a fake restaurant, in this case a cafe, and I've gotta brand it, give it a look, and then worst of all, make a powerpoint presentation on it.

I wouldn't go to a restaurant based solely on the font, that's kind of stupid. I would go to a restaurant if it looked cool inside, like the decor or if they did something like the melting pot where you cook your own food or something. I usually go to restaurants based on the type of food they serve, and what I am craving at that moment.

well i mean its going to be incorporated into the whole look, so if it was part of the look of the restaurant...

Yeah the look of the restaurant brings me in, but it also has to have something different about it. Just because a restaurant has nice decor usually won't bring me in cause I am so nervous about going to new restaurants. I really research them and read reviews and stuff cause I don't want to waste my money at a crappy place.

I liked SYNDsyns last font.
When it comes to choosing a font though do something relating to the style of the restaurant. i.e. a more fun place that you wanna direct towards a younger group of people chose a more fun, happy looking font. For a restaurant that is suppose to be classy or something do something like script, a really sophisticated looking font. |

I'll show y'all what I eventually came to using, I think it fitted the look I was going for, but I'm always open to criticism.

the "@River View Plaza" font doesn't... look right...
I don't know what it is, t just doesn't fit. I also would have use the same fancy R for the word "riviera" |

I really like the colours and mood of this one. =)

the font for the " River View Plaza" is supposed to look like neon lighting, and it does when placed on a black or dark background, it doesnt look right on bright backgrounds,
