Since I've only been to Canada and have really only seen change there, no paper money I've always been curious as to what other countries' money looks like. So this is my thread where I am asking people from different countries to post pictures of what your money looks like! C'mon!!

Back in the day, our notes were bigger, and the Queen looked a lot younger! ;D
Gosh, back in the day, there were no 20p pieces (I totally remember when they were new!) no pound coins, no two-pound coins, and the 5p, 10p and 50p were bigger, and there were half-pennies! Yes, yo - you could go to the sweet shop and buy a piece of coloured rice paper to eat for a halfpenny! Here's what we had instead of the pound coin: Back when the Queen had brown hair, yo - I remember those days! |

I remember the big 10p and 50p, I can't remember the introduction of the 20p though.

Yes, yo - you can't remember it because it was before your time, young Transit! ;D

I should probably say as well, on the back off all the coins I posted is a picture of the Queen's face.

So, the US has the most boring money in the world, don't we?? Lol... I love the colors on some of these notes!

Yeah, when I was in America I found your money so confusing. Your notes all look the same. It was particularly annoying to look into my purse, see a big wedge of notes and think I had lots of money... just to realise they were all $1 notes. Aren't $1 notes a bit pointless when the dollar is worth so little? And yoiu have a $1 coin!

The one dollar coin is pretty uncommon. We very rarely use them. I've only ever gotten them from the post-office stamp machines as change.
As for the $1... it's not really pointless. I use them quite often. |

Right, I'll see if I can do this first time!
I'll being pound sterling, English and Welsh. These are all our coins, on the fifty pence and the £1 you can get ones with different pictures on them. Five pound note, front. All notes differ in size, the more they are worth the bigger they are. Back (elizabeth fry) Ten pound note, front The back (charles darwin) Twenty pound note, front The back (adam smith) Fifty pound note The back, john houblon |

The coins have changed now though. The backs all have a section of the coat of arms, and they make it all up when put together. It's pretty cool.

Interesting thread! Here is the Jordanian currency:
1 qirsh or 1 piaster - 5 piasters - 10 piasters - 25 piasters or a quarter - 50 piasters or half a Dinar. And those are the bank notes: 1 Jordanian Dinar - 5 Dinars - 10 Dinars - 20 and 50. |

I am a big fan of changing to the Euro (please don't hate me! ;D ), so here is the currency of many European countries (it looks like Monopoly money, it's great!):
