also, i don't really see how it undermines the who's viewed it feature. it seems to undermine the updated faves page. it's easier for me to go and look at the diary of whoever's updated than it is for me to view a friends page.

Yeah, I don't see how it's at all connected to the who's viewed it feature. I've never used LJ, so I'm not sure how the friends page really works. I saw Nikky's link, but I still don't know if I'd be able to get used to it. Been at Bloop for going on 7 years now, I'm kind of stuck on how it works.

Well if you view the entries from what I had in mind from the friends page, your views wouldn't be recorded since you wouldn't even be going to their diary - just to your own friends page.

Ohhh I get it. Well if you only get a snippet of the entry, and not the whole thing, then you'd have to 'view' the entry officially to read the whole thing. I'm sure providing a snippet wouldn't be outsied of Steve's expertise.
