Tea time would be like 'high tea' at about 4pm, before supper. maybe its a regional thing though, and kind of dated! i bet the queen has high tea lol

Japan, for a while. I know several people (fellow Canadians) that have lived there and loved it. And I've always wanted to go there anyway :D

Mexico. It's my favorite place on earth. I studied there in Morelia for six weeks, and it was just absolutely gorgeous. It's so much more peaceful and relaxed. Granted, I was also living there on an American budget. So maybe I'd have to reassess that, but in my ideal world, it would be Mexico.

Canada or New Zealand. New Zealand is the most beautiful country I've ever been to and Canada is amazing too. And both of them have climates that are better than the UK but don't get unbearably hot in summer!

Best stay away from where I live, then (Kelowna, BC). It's a temperate desert that can get nasty hot in the summer. Makes for nice, mild winters though!

Yeah, don't go to Southern Ontario either...it's like a sauna in the summer.

New Zealand - I adore it there, but it's so far. If I could uplift my friends and family and take them with me, it would be heaven.

Brazil.that's where my Grandma is from. While I've never been there, hearing my grandmother talk about her itty bitty home town and the people there,it's just something I want to see.altho, honestly,I think it's more wanting to live in my grandma's memories of her home country then anything else :D

I spent a year there studying Brazilian Ju Jit Su with the Gracie family. It's a gorgeous place with amazing people and culture. And the food was amazing.

You studied with the Gracie family? That's awesome, man.

Yeppers. I spent a year at their family dojo studying with Renzo and Ryan...before he died. They don't believe in a beginner's level at ALL. LOL
I have a beautiful scar on the bridge of my nose from where Renzo slammed his knee into my face and busted my nose open. LOL |

Ideally, I would like to live for one year in each of the following places:
Caribbean Napa Valley, CA Australia New Zealand South Pacific London Amsterdam Paris Hong Kong Buenos Aires Colombia New York City After my year in NYC, I'd go back to the Caribbean and do it all over again. |

I love how you've been REALLY specific about some places (London, Paris) but others cover huge areas (Carribbean, South Pacific). Lol.
London isn't that great in my opinion. As far as UK cities go I much prefer the ones in the north and in Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle). I think they have more character. It's so polluted in London and people can be pretty rude (although not as rude as the New Yorkers I encountered! No offence intended obviously ;)). But then I wasn't impressed with New York City either (I much prefer Toronto or San Francisco). I would love to go to Hong Kong one day though. And if I lived in Napa I would drink wine every day. :) |

Well, that's because I don't have much of a preference as to where in the Caribbean or South Pacific I would like to live. Maybe a few months on a different island? Yeah, I'm a nomad at heart. ;)
I love London! It reminds me of New York, but older. I wouldn't mind spending a year there. |

I love London too. I don't think I could live there, but I could certainly stay for a while. I used to live in Canterbury which is like 40 minutes away from London so we would go have a day out there every month. Ahh good times!
And I quite like the stand offish-ness of Londoners as I hate people talking to me when I am out and about. Though I think that is my French heritage coming into play ;D |

I love Napa Valley. If you do ever get out there you should go to Windsor. I think it's just outside Napa. It's a pretty little town & the town square has this small town feel to it. There's a soda shop & candy shop & other little stores like that.

Either Edinburgh, Scotland or Vancouver, British Columbia. I've been to London...it was ok, a nice place to visit but I would not want to live there (though we stayed in a very nice part of town!). I've also been to Salzburg and Vienna, Austria. Both places were beautiful but I just don't know if I could live there.

Edinburgh is waaaay nicer than London (so is Glasgow for that matter).

Bora Bora. I don't care what shitty job I'd have to do to live there.
