Poetic Justice did say earlier that she hasn't asked if he's had an endoscopy and that she's just looking for some ideas about what sort of illness could cause these symptoms. To be fair, sometimes people can keep seeing doctors for symptoms and it takes years before it's correctly diagnosed, and occasionally conversations with friends/strangers can lead to the correct diagnosis - I know a few people this has happened to. Doesn't mean the doctors are bad, but there are just so many things that can go wrong with the body, and they can be rare, and they may not present in the typical way, and of course there are many things about the body that aren't known yet anyway.
