Marijuana = illegal
Aka: don't do it. That is all. |

@ Oprah Noodlemantra: Yah, that's smart. *rolls eyes* I'm proud of you for not doing anything illegal, ever.

All in all, I wouldn't suggest risking it. Sure you might not have found concrete evidence going either way but like many others have said, why would you risk it? As for your anxiety and nausea, talk to you OB GYN about it; I know they'd be able to prescribe you something that for sure won't harm your baby. I have nothing against pot (used to smoke it all the time) but it doesn't feel weird reading about someone smoking while pregnant.
And while yes, it is somewhat common for women to smoke cigarettes while pregnant, that doesn't mean it's good for the baby. Ever. |

Jeez. Stupid typos. Meant it DOES feel weird.
Srsly though, if marijuana is helping w/ your anxiety and nausea, and those things are something that are cropping up all the time, definitely talk to your doctor about it. There's no need to go through your pregnancy suffering over something that's manageable. |

Where I live they drug test alll new mothers and if anything comes up they send child services to your hospital room, even if its a prescription you are on. Which i think is a great thing.

God help your child you stupid irresponsible person. If your dependency on an illegal drug is more important than the health of your baby then you shouldnt be bloody having one.

Blame my inability to bite my tongue on my crazy overprotective pregnancy hormones :P

Actually that was the polite version of what I really thought. I'm happy to post the rude version though if you want.

Oh and I just read the entry you talked about in your original post.
You are clearly stupid, so marijuana isn't doing you any good. Labour does hurt. I have a high pain threshold and it turned me into mush. A blubbering mess. I've never been in so much pain in my life. Can't be that bad? Oh dear, how much you have to learn. |
Twixie Post Count: 17 |
@ .Blue Bella: You are the one who is clearly stupid. Pregnancy hormones are no excuse for your rant, when all I asked was an opinion on something I do to relieve my nausea and stress. Maybe if you had to work 12 hour days and support your family like I do, you wouldn't be spewing judgments.
And yes, I think most women exagerate when they talk about labor. If it were that bad people wouldn't do it over and over again. I intend to have a fully natural labor, just like I have had a fully natural pregnancy. And guess what? No nasty hormones to excuse my poor behavior! :) |

@Twixie: How is Blue Bella the one that is clearly stupid? She does work to support her family, and guess what? She doesn't need to self medicate. I feel so sorry for your child. It's probably going to be born messed up due to its idiotic mother who would rather gain the "benefits" of a drug than take care of her child.

@Druggomother: The pregnancy hormones thing was sarcasm (too high to pick up that I'm taking?) I would think that way irrespective of it I was pregnant or not. Something to relieve your nausea and stress? Try those preggo pop things. And yes I will spew judgements because I do work and support my family and manage to do it without having to resort to drugs to do so. You know, like a normal person.
As for your view on most women exaggerating labour, hope your baby tears you a new one ;) I think women do it over and over again because of what you get out of it at the end. PS. They aren't gonna let you smoke up on the labour ward, how ever will you cope with the stress and nausea then?! :P |
