Adam took me to the airport so I could go to California to help my aunt out bcuz she had surgery & Adam was moving to go to school, so it would be the last time I would see him in a loooong time, it was traumatic for me, we were both crying. Well, we talked the entire time while i was in Cali for a month, then when I flew home I thought my mom was picking me up, so I was searching for my mom, everywhere, she wasnt in sight. So, I went to the bathroom, got my luggage and see ADAM!!!!! We compose ourselves, go to his truck and we both get in, he tells me that he loves me & he's going to go to school at the community college bcuz he couldnt be away from me, etc. Hands me a box & a gift bag. I open the gift bag, its a super cute binkini (it was Aug) and open the box, and its shoes (the ONES I WANTED!) and he asks me to try them on, i refuse, saying they are my size, they'll fit, etc. Well, after about 5 min of bickering, he finally talks me into trying the shoes on, and inside the shoe was a ring box...he took it, opened it & asked me to marry him!!!! :)

The night before my fiance was going to move to New Mexico for work, he took me to go star gazing. I honestly didn't think he was going to propose because two nights before he mentioned that he wanted to take me to go look at rings. Anyway, we get to the spot near the lake where he first told me he loved me, and he gave me a little stuffed elephant. It was one of those star registry elephants so he basically bought me a star. :) I thought that was just it, and it was just going to be a nice last night together before he moved. Well, we were watching falling stars, and he was asking me what I was wishing for and I wouldn't tell him. Then, another star flashed by and he asked me what I wished for and I said I wouldn't tell him, and at that point he got up. I thought we were about to leave, but then he asked if I wanted to be with him forever and I said sure, and then he asked if I wanted to marry him. He pulled out the ring and put his flash light on so I could see it and I laughed and said yes, I wanted to marry him. :) We're getting married in October, a month after I move out to New Mexico. :) BTW, I was wishing that he would propose, and that wish came true. :)

if my boyfriend turned up with a puppy that had "will you marry me" hanging off it's neck i'd pretty much be sold. haha.
my dad proposed to my mum in their car. and not so much proposed, more suggested they should marry because they'd been together so long. how romantic 8| lmao. |

Colin took me to see Swan Lake ( the evil twist being it was an alternative version and he was sooooo convinced he had the traditional one lined up ;) then we went to Wellington Point (beach area) and he pulled out a bottle of very good champagne and two crystakl flutes we had bought earlier that week. Went to the table and poured the champagne and handed me a glass. I was sipping it very slowly ( this stuff averaged at around fourty bucks a glass and I WAS pregnant) and he told me to take a decent drink. Thats when I found the ring :D

LOL. My dad proposed to my Mom in the car by saying "Ya know, it'd really make momma and daddy happy if we got married." Yes, that was his PROPOSAL! lol.

OH! And how my dad proposed... well... he didn't really. They had me, and about three weeks later, they couldn't decide what to do. Either they would go get married or go to a carnival. Well, they flipped a coin and ended up getting married. :) I think my sister was slightly sad that she didn't get to go to the carnival though... :)

I asked him really. He was on his computer playing his game since he was just laid off. I walked up to him and said " Baby this is gonna be a rough road till you get a job. Now i'm here with you but before we travel down it tell me one thing...will you spend the rest of your life with me as my husband?" We got married 4 months later due to him going back into the Army.

My guy's parents were on vacation, so we went up to their house to play pool and hang out and whatever (and he was hiding the ring there)...we were standing on the back porch and he started hugging me and talking about how much he loved me and all that, then he got on a knee and pulled out a ring. I was so surprised that the first thing I asked was if he was serious lol. I thought it was a joke. I knew we'd get married one day but I seriously couldn't believe he had the time/money/sneakiness to go out and buy a ring without me knowing. It probably took a good 3 minutes for it to sink in. It was the perfect time of day though, the sun was low and the clouds were all gorgeous and we were overlooking a big field...it was nice, I never expected him to do something super cheesy because that's just not us.
Come to find out though, he bought the ring TWO MONTHS before he proposed. I have no idea how he kept quiet that long, not to mention everyone else in the world seemed to know already. We'd already been talking about marriage for years, it was a given I'd say yes. He decided it was time to ask me because the night before he'd been playing Madden and asked me 'head or tails' on an important coin toss and I got it right and he won the game lol. Good thing or the ring would probably still be hidden in his Mom's room ;). |

Before he left for work at 1.30 pm, on July 3rd, 2003, he told me "oh by the way you have an Ecard, but don't open it, okay?" so I was like "yeah, ok whatever"... So I did my thing all day, trying to ignore the fact there was an email with an ecard in my inbox and when he got home at 11.30 pm, I was at the computer playing mindless games on MSN games, when he walked in the door, and he said "honey I'm home", paused, and said "you didn't open the card, did you ?" and I said no, then he said "Well open it now", and I did, and as I read the text, he quietly walked up behind me, I was teary eyed at the text which said "will you be my loving bride?"... and at the end was a line that said "Turn around" as the message... I did and he was standing behind me, with the box in his hands... I stood up, and hugged him, tears flowing... and after a couple of minutes he went : "So??" and all I could do was nod. He put the ring on my finger... we were married June 5th, 2004.
This proposal was quite sweet, it may not seem so with how I described it, but we met online and it was original the way he proposed... |

On our seven year anniversary, on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. We were sitting on a bench, and I'd just suggested we get up and keep going, he said "Wait, I have something to ask you first" and got out the ring! I just started sobbing ;-D He hadn't actually planned to propose then, but he'd gotten the ring all the way to New York and was getting so stressed about losing it or me finding it, he ended up doing it on the first morning of the holiday!

I technically had 2 proposals. The first one, Dan and I were laying in bed just talking about our future and stuff, basically saying how we never wanted to be with anyone else, and how we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives, and then he got all shy and nervous and he buried his face in the pillow, and then he peeked out, asked me, and the buried his head again. It was cute. lol No ring or anything, just used one of the rings I had as a place holder haha then a couple days later we went out and I got to pick out my ring, and we had to have it sized, so the day it came in, he came in to the store when I was working, and I went on break, and he got down on one knee in the middle of the prepared foods section, and popped the question with the ring this time, and then he had our engagement announced over the loudspeaker :)
