You still never explained why it's so wrong to have some you time. Or can you even back up your own opinion? ;)

I NEVER SAID IT'S SO WRONG!

I see it as part of the job description. I've put mine in daycare before, and i rather have them home with me. BY ALL MEANS if you need a break, then go for it! but its not for me!

Now you've really confused me (lol I'm not being sarcastic I'm totally serious) you said that you should've thought twice before having kids if you're going to need time alone or something to that nature. But now you're saying, go nuts? hmm

I'm a confused panja.

Because being a parent is hard work! Most people arent prepared for it. I knew a chick that palmed her 3 kids off to her mother every weekend and daycare 2 days a week, all cos she found it too hard. daycare just isnt for me...

I'm not a SAHM, as I work part time - and I don't personally ever want to put my daughter in daycare if I don't have to (hubby and I's work times work out so that we don't have to right now) but there is NOTHING wrong a woman wanting a break every once in a while. No, I'm not too keen on the twice a week, every week thing - but if you can stand to be around your kids all day every day without a break, more power to you. But don't criticize women who need a break every so often - it's not a crime. It doesn't make them any less of a parent because they choose to stay at home, and sometimes need a mental break.

Part of having a child does not mean never having alone time or having time away from your kids :) It's HEALTHY once in a while. My fiance and I try to go out 2 times a month without my daughter, as sort of a date. It makes us remember that we are adults, we love each other, and we aren't JUST parents.

"If you need a break from your child maybe you should think twice before having them"

Just because someone finds that sometimes they need a break form their children doesn't mean they shouldn't have children. I have two children I adore very much (and anyone who reads me can tell you that). I would never go back in time and choose NOT to have them. But sometimes a break from the kids IS NEEDED, PERIOD. If you have to put them in daycare two or three times a week, then yes, perhaps you should have rethought the idea of having kids. But simply needing a break from them once in a while? Hardly grounds for not having kids.

Gahh. Just because someone uses daycare does not mean they don't want to be with their kids. They are simply using that time to get stuff done around the house, or run errands, that would otherwise take twice as long if they had a child in tow.

^^ Then why, just because someone puts their child in daycare a few days a week, should they have rethought about having children? That makes no sense, whatsoever.

SAHM= stay at home mum!

im not against daycare. my eldest used to go once a week but now she's in preschool fulltime, i stay at home with my 2 toddlers now. i just think 3 days a week is excessive... but whatever floats your boat :-)
