How can you back up the parents? You don't see this as child abuse? I'm confused. Yes, it was their child, they had a belief, but at the same time you have to go outside your comfort zone and get the proper treatment. Maybe the treatment didn't work, but it could have and that child didn't get a chance. Instead they just let her die because the power of prayer was going to magically cure it. That's BS if you ask me. Prayer did one hell of a job, didn't it?

I agree, but I think the parents need to be scolded and charge for child endangerment. I'm sorry, but not getting the proper medical treatment because of religious beliefs in insane. When it comes to cancer, you have to treat that and use science. No prayer is going to magically make it go away. That is child abuse and endangerment if you ask me. If the cancer is treatable and has a good percentage of it going away with a treatment, when why would a parents not allow it? That's sick. They would rather have then die slowly or worse, have it spread times 10?
