its a typical G1 from tmoble! lol theres some phones out there that a carry around tty but i dont think it is still around (a phone that u can call other deaf people on) i text too much, and i use AIM for the relay service

Yeah, I text a hell of a lot more than I talk.

its scary esp when i can watch a friend talk to me and im typing at the same time with out looking but it can be embarrassing if i end up typing what SHE says to me to the phone lol but lately ive been trying 2 stop using my phone so much lol but it sure is HARD!

Ive had problems sending texts to the wrong people, that's embarrassing.

oh thats the wrost!! lol! ive done that! cuz my finacee is chris A. my cousi is chris A too... and i have both thier last names typed out but with out looking my phone can automatically put the person name on the to who and blah blah but i push down before i even realize it... and type him something bad :-( lol

I ONCE WENT ON A DATE WITH A GUY WHOM I'D GOT TO KNOW A BIT ON THE TRAIN, AS WE SHARED THE SAME COMMUTE, AND HE TEXTED HIS FRIEND SAYING HE WAS WELL PLEASED TO HAVE A DATE WITH ME, AND I WAS REALLY PRETTY, BUT THAT HE WAS GOING TO KEEP IT SECRET THAT HE SMOKED, BECAUSE I'M NOT A SMOKER! AND HE SENT IT TO ME BY MISTAKE! HILARIOUS, YO! ;D

It would make more sense if it spoke what she typed to the other person but than again how does she know what they are saying, there must be some translator device that puts it into text? And I guess its typing to typing if to another deaf person???? That sounds like it could be?

they have a relay person -- its a person that listen to a hearing person talk then types everything down, then says GA (go ahead so its ur turn to speak) SK (im ready to hang up) then when i type they speak to the person thats on the phone (free 800 number but i forgot the number tho :-( ) but we have VEDIO PHONES too so we can see me sign to the interp a alive interp and they translate in my emtions cuz on the cpu or tty or something u dont get my tone... then same for the hearing person, and i can call another deaf person in the VP (vedio phone) and i can see me talking to that person in a small box then a bigger box i see my person signing its like a web cam hooked up tot he tv...

I know about the online thing; that's just sight. ;) I meant w/ the phone do you just text or does the phone have a way of speaking what you wrote? Like youtube does now where you can have an audio preview of what you wrote. And what I meant by the slang was if it speaks what you wrote, does it speak the slang? XD I dunno if that makes sense.

That reminds me, I had a deaf friend in high school. She came to oe of my plays, the same night my family came, and they came up to me while I was talking to her. I had to leave, so she told me to call her, and my little brother *who is mentally retarded, and stuck at about 7 years old* was like, "But she can't use a PHONE, she's DEAF!!!"

She was still standing there and read his lips. I was horrified. hehe

He's still around. A Redsox Fan, or something along those lines. Though his name may have changed.

I know Amber IRL and she doesn't do the texting slang. More likes to send a million messages. Sorry i had to put you out there like that Amber! I still love you love. Amber when she talks kinda sounds muffled but i can clearly understand her. She is one of my besties!
