I've never had anything like that happen. So my first reaction if something like that were to happen to me, would be to go to the doctor lol.
But nope, not ER ;D |

I wouldn't play around with any kind of health problem, but in the USA, we don't have many options when you don't have insurance ;).

I've never really had that problem =/
Anytime I haven't had insurance, I've qualified for state insurance :( |

Of course it's okay to still have sex while it's happening. I'd just be sure to maybe use some lube? Even if it feels better, being dry and having sex could probably cause some pain later. I'd imagine, the sex is just acting as a scratcher to your itch! LOL All the friction and what have you.
Some women have vaginal dryness all the time. (Sucks to be them!) I get it every so often and I'm not on any medication. *Shrugs* However, if it becomes an issue that doesn't go away - i'd talk to your gyno. They might be able to try a different kind of pill for you. Hope it gets better! |

It's not OK if she's passing a fungal infection onto her partner!

Amen to that!!!!! Men can get it too and pass it on to us! Thought it's not an STD. But yeah Fungal. Ohhhh that's why I won't and refuse to wear bowling shoes!!!! Foot Fungus is something I don't want. But food fungus is not related to vag fungus except for the fact it's a fungus amongus!!!

Itching and burning can indicate a ph imbalance in the vagina, which could be due to a yeast infection or something similar. However, it is also a symptom of excessive dryness in the vaginal area. With the itching relived with sex that indicates to me the other symptoms are more than likely caused by the excessive dryness. However, the only thing you can do is go see a Doctor. You could treat the symptoms, but if it's an infection of some sort you want to get it resolved.

Maybe you had vaginal dryness cause you had sex in a castle or a dirty river! Go to the doctor! FYI getting medical advice from an online diary site is not always the smartest thing to do! It sounds like a yeast infection, which means something is wrong with the pH balance of your vagina. When you have sex in the water the penis pushes the water into your vagina, which is probably how you got the yeast infection in the first place!

Where in the world did she say she had sex in water? lol.

In her diary she said she had sex in a river.

Number one, I was more getting opinions from people.
Number two, it's probably not a yeast infection. Vaginal dryness. Number three, you just wish you were having sex in castles. :-P |

LOL a dirty river??? going above and beyond the call of reason and pointing out the most extreme but not unlikely! I like that! lolz

Oh yeah, and if you had sex with someone and you do have a yeast infection I would tell him to get tested too. It is highly unlikely that a male can get one, but just in case so you guys don't keep passing it back and forth!
|
Mary Magdelene Post Count: 506 |
Unfortunately it's not highly unlikely that a man can get a yeast infection. It happens to baby boys all the time, and it CAN happen to a man having sex with a woman with a yeast infection. It fact, it's highly likely at that point that he has one.

I talked to him last night, he's very understanding. I'm going to wait a week to see if things get better. As it is right now, after the over the counter topical stuff I got, I already feel 10x better.

Just of curiosity, is the topical stuff for a yeast infection? Or am I missing a point? lol.

See your doctor. No-one can diagnose the problem on here, and it could well be something that requires treatment, like an infection. Only your doctor can tell you. Taking advice on here will likely just delay treatment for the problem.

Am not taking any advice, just seeing what others would say. Already have made up my mind on what I'm going to do, see above. lol

You need to go get you on of those tests they sell at Wal-green's or Wal-mart in the pharmacy. It tells you if you have a vaginal infection. There is a vagisil screening kit that tests for yeast infection, then there is another one I can't remember what it's called, but it tests for several things, it is color coded to tell you what it is. Ask the pharmacy and they will know what you are talking about.

One of the main things the pill is supposed to do is to increase the thickness of the "mucus" (I'm not 100% sure that it's called "mucus", but it's the only word I could come up with) lining inside of the vagina, so that it makes it harder for the semen to travel so far inside of you... so I'm not sure why it would cause dryness. To me it sounds like a yeast infection. I'd suggest going to the doctor just to be sure.

Sounds you like you have Coochie Itch of Doom. Monistat works. That one time use is a good one. But I recomment taking it before bed and sleeping. So you can sleep while it does it's thing. Bc will give you Yeast Infections from time to time.

Didn't have time to read this whole thread but here is my experience with BC.
When I was on BC my body got so messed up. I had really, really bad mood swings (I don't even get bitchy when I'm pms-ing) and would cry for no apparent reason. I had a lot of dryness myself. It didn't start that quick, but probably after about one cycle of the pills. And I had virtually NO sex drive at all. I hated the way I felt on BC. I stopped it after about a year and after a few months went back to normal. |
