I wouldn't mind changing to the Euro either. It's worth virtually the same as the pound at the moment anyway, and it would make travelling easier.

Wow, someone who agrees with me! I like! Although shops like New Look price in pounds and Euros and the Euro price is always a lot higher, so if they changed the currency without changing the prices that would suck!

I very much like the whole Euro thing. (Although I don't live anywhere near Europe!)
It would make travelling SO much more convenient if every place had the same money :( |

Haha I love the Euro. xD Pity the Australian dollar has shit-all on it. xD

our notes are made of plastic. it's great it you accidentally put your wallet through the wash as it doesn't wreck the notes ;D |

our coins have the queen on the otherside too, and every now and then the non-queen side will have a different design, like the 50c of the $1. can be confusing sometimes because if i get one i haven't seen before sometimes i don't realise it's an australian coin lol.

We had some plastic money too! lol It was even see through at one part of it. lol I'm not sure why but they stopped making them... I thought they were so cool! Our money tends to get all wrinkled and the plastic notes were wonderful because they just did not wrinkle! lol

ours has a little plastic window too. you can kinda see some of them in that pic.
oh, plastic notes will wrinkle. it's annoying too because they don't sit in cash registers properly. it bugs me so bad when people throw a wrinkled note at me. like, you don't have a wallet? you just crushed the note up in your pocket? lol. wonder why they got rid of the brazilian plastic money? it is pretty good. |

Wrinkled notes suck! Honestly though, our plastic note did not wrinkle! I mean, if you just crush it up and put it in your pocket it would still be okay. Now obviously if you took the time to fold it well in specific places then it would wrinkle... I do not know why they got rid of it... hmm, maybe I should look that up. lol

Yeah my teacher went to Australia and brought back money, it was so cool! I loved how it felt, and I think we should have plastic money too, cause I hate putting my money through the wash!

I love Australian money. :)
Do you have a 1c coin? I remember thinking it was funny that New Zealand don't have a 1c coin (as it's worth so little there), and so when you pay for something it has to be rounded up or down. |
RealLifeComics Post Count: 571 |
They used to have 1c and 5c coins back in the day here in Aus. They stopped making them in early 90s I think. Im glad, such a waste.

We still have the 5c..

RealLifeComics Post Count: 571 |
Oops, I meant 2c coins.
|

we haven't had the 1c or 2c coins for yeeeears. they got rid of those when i was little. 1991 they got the boot. now we round up or down.

My mum thought she'd try and dewrinkle a $20 by ironing it... yeah. xD
It didn't dewrinkle, but it did shrink/shrivel up slightly. xD |
