I'm confused as to why some people have their panties in a twist over the idea that the American people are supporting her. Yes, she's going to die horribly obese and they'll have to make her a casket, but...it will probably all be paid for with the money from her website. She isn't getting money from the government, as far as I can tell, or from me. Are you guys subscribing to her site? Just curious.

Is her goal disgusting? Yes. Will it leave her children without a mother? Yes. Does she have the right to do it? Yes. Ahh, freedom.

I think it's more that she IS getting government assistance, at least according to another poster here. I actually haven't looked up anything, so forgive me if I'm wrong. But someone else said that she was on welfare and food stamps. If that is true, then I can see why people would be upset about it. If she is paying for everything herself by what she is earning, has a spouse willing to enable this, or has incredibly stupid people throwing money at her, that's fine. But if she is on government assistance in any form, then this is grossly misusing that assistance, and that money could be going to someone who deserves it.

I used to have a roommate that was almost 500 pounds, and I could see how hard the simplest things were for him to do. He was SO unhealthy. My mind boggles at this woman. i can't even wrap my brain around it.

FeistyMama, if the children are not taking away than I would SERIOUSLY think twice about who we have in our counties/cities. No child should be subjected to a parent doing this to themselves; and ultimately I must ask, can she properly care for them?

exactly... her husband is the one wrking so he obviously cant take care of them!!! if her husband had any brains he would leave her for the sake of the children. i would never support my spouse if he chose such a poor lifestyle! i wouldnt want my 2 babies around that.
