I don't want my hubby reading my diary, so I am members only, and delete the history when I'm done using it. Other than that, I don't know anything else.

Oh I never would have thought of that?
I mean people who can view the history, my sister who looks at my user name so she can easily find me?

Your best bet is probably to go members only, or favorites only. You could also delete your browsing history when you're finished.

if your family is that nosy, maybe you shouldnt have a public online diary. There is always a risk of someone you dont want finding it.
Go friends only if you are that worried

I set mine to members only. Do what everyone else is saying about deleting the history. You can set it so it deletes it automatically when you exit the internet browser.

In addition to all the other suggestions, try blocking your own IP.

Since not everyone can afford his/her own computer, or to get a broken computer fixed, and has no chioce but to share...I know that Windows XP has different 'profiles' for different computer users, and if you have your own password protected profile on there, see if that helps. Someone extremely computer savvy whose profile has administrator capabilities for the computer could still get to your history, but it would take extra steps.

I would suggest to be sure to log out, have a strong password, and be members/friends only, and clear your history faithfully. Be sure to write things that you do not want your family seeing in "exclusive" entries. If you go members only, and they are really interested in reading your diary, they will simply go to the site they see in the history and create their own diaries and then they can see your entries. I don't know who you are scared of reading your entries, but there is also the option of coming clean if you are hiding something that you are specifically hiding from your family and/or friends.

Like lithium layouts. said, block your own ip address and it will keep anyone from that IP address from being able to see your diary unless they are logged into it. Doesn't matter how many diaries they create to attempt to read you, they won't get in unless your IP address changes. I do believe IP address wildcards can be blocked as well.

But do what everyone else suggested... when you are done make sure you logout and delete your cookies/history/temp files. Most web browsers will have a setting in the options to do this automatically when you close the program. Nothing is ever safe and for sure when it comes to thsi sort of thing, but that does help A LOT.

If you need any help with any of this... please feel free to contact me on my diary, using the bloop messenger, or through a support ticket and I will be happy to walk you through it. :)
