Alright, So I am in a relatively new relationship. 6 months-ish.
And a few weeks ago my boy made me homemade sushi cause he knows i love it. This was the first time he has ever cooked for me and now i would love to do the same thing for him. MY problem is, i love to cook, but i am a simplistic eater. I don't want to just toss some meat and veggies on a plate like i would make for myself and say "here". So He isn't picky about most foods, I asked him what his favoritest thing to eat was but his response was "I will eat pretty much anything" So If anyone out there has a favorite recipe that they make ( I don't care if it takes 4 hours to make it or more ) Can you share it with me, plus the ingredients/Measurements it would take to create your favorite dish? Even if its hamburgers but you do something amazing while making them, like certain kinds of spices or preparations. I would love to hear them. DESSERTS ALSO. =) Thanks! |

If he likes seafood, I have a great prawn risotto recipe, and it's easy too, but tastes amazing.

From http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/healthy/cook-yourself-thin
Ingredients Olive oil 1/2 onion, finely chopped 1 clove of garlic, peeled and finely chopped 150g risotto rice 75ml white wine 750ml warm light vegetable stock A bunch of spring onions, thinly sliced 150g cooked peeled prawns 3 tablespoons low-fat crème fraîche A squeeze of lemon 1/2 bunch of basil, chopped Salt and freshly ground black pepper Nutritional Information Per serving: 471 calories Method: How to cook risotto with prawn, lemon, spring onion and basil 1. Heat up a splash of oil and gently fry the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the rice and continue frying for two minutes. Add the wine and continue stirring until the wine is absorbed. 2. Now start to add the stock, ladle by ladle, stirring until the stock is absorbed between each spoonful. 3. Give the risotto lots of tender loving care, by stirring regularly, and the creamy starch will come out of each grain. Continue like this for 10 to 15 minutes. 4. Add the spring onion to the risotto, continue cooking for five minutes and then add the prawns and crème fraîche. 5. Now this is the important point. You need the rice to be al dente, which means firm-to-bite (not soft and overcooked), so keep tasting it until it is time to take it off the heat (it will probably need another five minutes). 6. Add a squeeze of lemon and stir through the basil. Check the seasoning and then, for the final touch, grate some lemon zest over the top. |

YOU FRY THE RICE? LIKE, DO YOU BOIL IT FIRST? OR YOU FRY IT WHEN IT'S HARD, AND THEN ADD THE STOCK? I'VE NEVER FRIED RICE BEFORE SO I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT WORKS (AND I LIKE THE SOUND OF SEAFOOD RISOTTO, YO! GOSH, I MUST GO TO ASDA AND BUY SOME CREME FRAICHE AND PRAWNS AND WINE AND STUFF!).

I'll have to think of something for you. OOOO I know. It's called Taco Ring....very very easy and quick. You take 2 cans of crescent rolls and make a circle with them and have the widest part going to the inside. Then take about 1 lb of beef or chicken and cook it and then add taco seasoning to it. After that's done just put the meat on the crescent rolls in the middle & add cheese or anything else like onions and cover the meat with the rest of the crescent roll. Bake on 325 for about 15 minutes or til rolls are done. ENJOY!!!
