Hahaha my family of six is like that. xD We have a basket where single lonely socks get cast into. The other one usually turns up eventually. xD

I set my mis-matched ones on the table we have next to our dryer. If they're still there in like a week after I've done laundry, then they get demoted to rags.

I usually find the partner though. I hate being wasteful D:

I have a collection of mateless socks sitting pitifully on my dining table, waiting for their mate to be miraculously found in the chaotic mess of my house! Every now and then, I get impatient with all those emo single socks and chuck 'em out! And when I buy new socks, I buy them all the same, so that I can mix them up and they always match!

I try to do the same when buying socks. Mine are usually all white with pink on the toe & heel so it's easy to mix & match them.

I never wear matching socks to work.

I won't wear anything but "no-shows" & most of my socks are colored. ;D I'd prefer they be matching, but if I need a pair of socks & in a rush, then whatever works!

Ugh I hate no-shows. They always show with every pair of shoes I try to wear them with!!

none of my socks match. my husband's sock often match. my kids socks HAVE TO MATCH. if they dont match, i'll have a heart attack!!

Eh, as long as the top part (I ALWAYS wear ankle socks...tube socks make me cringe!) is white on both, I don't care. One sock might have orange toes and heels, the other purple toes and heels, but no one sees :P.

I like for my socks to match. Fortunately Dave's socks are much larger (and less colorful) than mine, so we don't get them confused. Also, I only lose socks when Dave does laundry. He just throws socks in without making sure that matching pairs go in together. I always leave socks and undies for the last load so they are all together and don't get lost!

I'm totally one of those people who likes her underwear to match - Bra has to match my knickers - They are even set up in my drawers in the same orders, so when I pick up one in one draw - I'll be able to pick up it's matching piece in the other drawer. Same with my socks, each sock has it's partner and if it doesn't...well that sock never gets worn again and shortly gets thrown out! I don't really wear socks anyway so it's not a big deal - I live in my flip flops in summer and my boots in the winter...and I wear thick stockings with my boots. The only time I wear socks is for gym or running - but even then - I like them to match.

(P.s. I know this sounds slighly OCD...it's not THAT bad.. I mean if something doesn't match - its not the end of the world...I'll find an alternative - or else I'll mismatch - depends on the occasion...but I do LIKE things to match)

Also; I'm loving that mismatched website!! Which completely goes against everything I just said!! But I'm a huge fan of flip flops (and colour) so those are really cute.

Mine must match. They don't always have to be one right, one left, since I have some pairs that are the same, but they have to at least match.

I don't mind much either way. My newer socks I wear in pairs, because I know for a fact I have the other sock. But then I have the older strays that I keep and wear together. I once wore a black dress sock and a white ankle sock... laundry day :P

all of my socks are the same. i do that because i hate matching up socks with a PASSION. my mom was also a fan of the 'mis-match basket' and we had six people and it was such a pain to sort through that i made sure that i'd NEVER have to go through that again. haha.

i don't think i'd mind wearing mis-matched socks as long as they weren't completely different styles. like, one tube song and one ankle sock would not fly. but if one was red and one was black, i wouldn't care at all.

i NEVER wear matching socks.i got that from my grandma..according to her,wearing mismatched socks is good luck.the one and ONLY time i wore matching socks,i broke my knee skateboarding!,so im thinking she might be on to something.lol

I don't mind wearing mismatch socks as long as they're the same kind of sock. If I can't find the matching colors, no big deal. But I can't deal with two different kinds of socks. haha.

Mine nevarrrr match. People actually comment on it if my socks match because I usually don't have matching socks. Furthermore, I rarely have matching flipflops... and have gone to school with one orange flip flop, one pink/green flipflop just because I don't really care =D
