I'm not going to say that this is for a specific age target, because I know all too well that different people mature at different ages. There are some 14 yr olds I know who are more mature then some of m 40 yr old neighbors.
But have you found in your life, that the "older" you get, the more you have people you are friendly with, but not friends with or are more able to make friends. By friends, I mean people you want to be around most of the time, can talk openly and easily with - without having to worry about what your saying or how you are saying it and who else might find out. |

That's a tough one! Most of my friends are from when I was younger (my best friends I met in elementary school, middle school, and high school). BUT another of my best friends I met only 2 years ago - through work. I think we were able to build and evolve our friendship so quickly because we saw each other Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, much like my friendships with schoolaged friends.
It also depends on your outlook on life. I'm totally down for whatever people do (with a few exceptions or legal things lol) so I have an easy time making friends and bonding with people. :) |

I'm not sure that it gets harder. I just think that the older or more mature you get, you're not as open to accepting new people into your life. I'm a mom of two boys-so most of my friends I have now are other moms that I've met at soccer games or school functions. We're pretty much friends out of convenience. I have no problem with meeting new people and being friendly with them--its trusting them enough to be around my family that really weeds them out. I have a lot of people that I will talk to if I see them out, but only a hand full of people I would truly call friends.
