Eh, I don't really see the use for it. I feel like I'd be more annoyed by it than anything.
I like comments ;D If someone just 'liked' my entry, I'd be sad. |

Well, there's no real use for it on FB either - it's just there to have fun with. I'd imagine people are more likely to 'like' comments than entries - if a comment is witty or says something you agree with, it's a quick way of showing your appreciation/agreement.
But also, if someone writes an entry that you have nothing to say about but you like, then it would be useful for that too - it saves a person leaving a blank comment, which I always find myself quite bemused by! I'd far rather have my entry 'liked' than a blank comment. And I imagine a lot of people who never comment, because they don't know what to say, might feel less intimidated by a 'like' option, so you might find your entries 'liked' by people you've never spoken to before. So it would be a way of opening up communication, by adding more options. |
