So I'm guessing Squish has comments privatized, or that 5 other people left private comments on this entry. Would it be possible, in order to eliminate confusion, to remove this statistic from the landing page posting, if the diarist chooses to privatize comments for their own reason?

I noticed this earlier today too. I will adjust the counter so that it only counts comments that you as a reader are able to see
