This happened in Kalamazoo, MI, which is about.....an hour and a half or so away from me. This is just sick and wrong....so wrong. And so so sad.


A dog died after someone who broke into a Kalamazoo home drenched the helpless animal in household cleaners.



Police say only a few dollars' worth of coins were taken during the burglary.


Pet owner Nancy Sheppard was at work Tuesday when someone entered her home and poured the toxic liquids onto her small, dark-haired dachshund mix named Lucky.


The animal was in a crate and unable to avoid the attack. He was rushed to a local animal hospital but later died.


A neighbor noticed Sheppard's front door open and called the police. Officers found the home ransacked with empty bottles of household cleaner strewn about and the dog "dripping wet and foamy."


Cleaning fluids filled Lucky's food and water dishes and crate.


Police are investigating.

I can't comprehend what sort of minds would do such a thing to a defenceless animal. Sick sick sick.

This just turned my stomach. It takes a barbaric bastard to do something like that. I'd like to get my hands on him. Five minutes is all I'd need.

I know...some people out there are just pathetic. Maybe we could lock them in a cage and to the same thing to them?

People are disgusting. Why did they have to target the poor dog? Sickos. It is people like this who deserve to get shot to death. I hope they catch the sicko(s) and pour toxic chemicals on them. How about some flesh burning acid.

That is just... disgusting. Amazing and incredibly aweful what people will do for a few dollars. The dog was clearly no threat, being in a crate. They did it out of pure maliciousness and cruelty. Sick fucks.

That is about 20 minutes from my house. This as been happening a LOT around here. People that are convicted are NOT getting off easy. They blame it on the economy.

I love how they think by blaming the economy is a valid reason. How about they step up and own to their crime by saying the real reason. My husband and I aren't as well off as we used to be but we are not breaking into other people's houses. I do it the old fashion way, working hard!

that is sooooo sick and twisted and horrible! i agree we should lock them in a small cage and do the same thing to them!!
