I'm looking around to purchase a decent pair of either ear buds or headphones. I'm interested in any opinions anyone has on brands that have worked for them in the past. I'm hoping to acquire a cheap decent pair, something that goes a long way without paying too much cash, though I am also willing to spend a bit more on them, as long as they're long lasting and of quality. I'm always using my MP3 on the go, and I may even purchase something solely for home use that I can plug into my computer. Any suggestions?

I like skull candy because they have like tube like ends and they don't hurt your ears. They fit in the ears very nicely, I usually find them on sale for like 10 dollars and I stock up on them then. Normally they're around 25 dollars.

Bose headphones are amazing... I love them. I don't think I could go back to a cheap pair!

I swear by my JVC Jelly Buds. Brilliant sound quality for around $20. I bought my pair 5 years ago and they STILL sound as crystal clear as the day I bought them.

Thanks to everyone who provided some input : )
The last pair I bought included the cheap Skull Candy ear bud's, but I was extremely disappointed when I plugged them into my MP3. The sounds was distant and fuzzy and unpleasant. Perhaps I should get a pair from them that weren't so cheap? I enjoy the different sized earpieces that came with it though, a definite bonus. Sennheiser; godly so I've heard. I might splurge on one if I'm feeling feisty, heh. JVC Marshmellow and Gummy ear buds make me unhappy. They just....don't feel right in my ears. I could look at the type you specified and give it a try. I enjoy Sony headphones, but they break so fucking easily it's insane. Then again....I could just be picky and clumsy. And perhaps I turn my music up too loud for me to be able to hold onto a lasting pair of headphones or ear buds. |

I have the Koss i150 for the iphone. They were about $100 but the quality is amazing, not to mention they're noise cancelling so you don't have to turn up the volume super loud in order to be able to hear. They also come with a lifetime warranty, one for which I can vouch. The times that my headphones have broken (I use them all the time), I send them in and they send me a new pair in about a week.

I have purchased two pairs of earbuds in my life. They were both Phillips and they were around $10-$15. I only bought the second pair because I used the first pair so much that they started coming apart (and the second pair was green, my favorite color).

I always, always get JVC Gummi's or Skull Candy (depending on which I can find cheaper). They're both extremely comfy and decently-priced.. and they come in pretty colors! ;)

I used to sell these earbuds years ago and I still use them. I have used all sorts of brands but I honestly feel they are the best out there and worth the cost. The most expensive pair they sell are what musicians use on stage when performing. I use them on the bus because I can't hear anyone or anything else around me and they just seal the ear to block out sound, so you don't have to turn up your sound on your device way high. They are awesome on airplanes too. And have an awesome warranty, also I know everyone like BOSE but they are no where near as good. They take batteries and they use frequency blocking technology that will block the same frequencies from your music. I used to sell the SHURE's at the airport and I would hook them up to a dvd player or mp3 player and have the person put them on and as they were listening I would scream at them and they would have no clue, of course everyone else thought I was nuts lol, but once they figured out what was going on they would tend to join in with the customer being none the wiser that a bunch of ppl are yelling at them. I would say check them out and see if you can find a place that tests them out. If you are ever in the airport and there is an Inmotion entertainment they should still be doing demo's but because they are an evil company buy the product from the website or best buy. |

i don't really have a favorite pair, but don't buy apple. i have seriously gone through about 4 different pairs of them. the bass always breaks, and i don't listen to alot of rap extremely loud, so i know its not me thats causing it..and i hate it when i can hear that rattling in the earphones. just don't but apple brand.
