Thing that has me confused... what if your birthday was say July 20th. Are you a Gemini or a Cancer? :-o

I found a site that says that you're apparently both...Just doesn't make sense. And I haven't heard exactly what being an Ophiuchus means.

I just saw this & I read somewhere that it really hasn't changed.The stars are markers that drift, but the main points of reference are not directly the stars. They are the equinoxes and the solstices which altogether make the four cardinal points of the zodiac which in turn determine the signs. The stars help us locate those points which define the SIGNS of the Zodiac which remain constant in relation to the equinox point.

I think I will be keeping my old one. I don't think the new one suits me very well..lol

The tattoo thing was the first thing I thought of, too haha. Especially since one of my trendy friends just got one yesterday... What I don't get, is that each individual zodiac (for those that believe in them) has it's own set of characteristics. The superfluous details might vary, depending on what you're reading and where, but generally the fundamental aspects of each of them stay the same. So if there's any truth to the zodiac at all, how do they explain taking a person who once had all the characteristics of say, a Cancer (me) and bumping us into a much 'wilder and outgoing' sign like Gemini? Doesn't that pretty much invalidate everything that's ever been said about us by way of our horoscopes?

I'm an Aquarius, I've been one for 23 year, not changing it now. Lol

Your sign is the one you were BORN under. So when did the shift occur? Was it a gradual thing? A more sudden thing? These articles aren't very specific.

as far as this stuff works, aren't we all still our old sign because we were born under a certain one before it changed? like winged centaur said? meh. i'm two days away from being my old sign anyway.

I think it's kind of ridiculous. I've been a Scorpio for 26 years, I'm not changing it now. Also, it's kind of bullshit because you're a scorpio if you're born in a block of what 7 days? That's kind of pointless. One week for Scorpio. :p

I do have a couple zodiac tattoos, I've had them for years but it's not because 'holy shit I believe I'm such a scorpio,' It's because scorpions kick ass. Plus, my tattoos are not the zodiac symbol, they're actually scorpions... and if you didn't know, scorpions are freakin' awesome.

This makes me wonder how zodiac profiles are going to change, though. I don't know if people subconsciously choose the parts of their horoscopes that best fit them, or if those things really are accurate... but I can't relate to the general Sagittarius profile at all, and most of the Capricorns I know don't, either. So now I wonder about the future (I'm pretty sure the new signs are for people born after 2009) -- I'm still a Capricorn, but new Capricorns would've originally been under Aquarius... I'm nothing like them, either!

Does anyone know if there are going to be separate profiles for those born after this new system took/takes effect?

I do identify with quite a few of the Scorpio traits. I don't believe a whole lot in the zodiac signs though, because I do know people that can't relate to their signs either. I don't know, I think it's kind of fun.

So, being the weirdo that I am... I did some browsing around the internets and found this. I guess everyone freaked out over nothing. People misinterpret statements all the time and this is just another instance of it. Ophiuchus is just a constellation that astronomers mention when talking about the sun's position. Let's all calm down. Everything is just fine.

I'm a Pisces. I looked up Piscean personality traits vs Aquarius traits. I am pretty much spot on with Pisces but am complete opposite of Aquarius. Haha. I also heard about it only applying to people born after '09. I'm not too worried about. I'm a Pisces and I'm stayin that way!

I was looking at this stuff today & I just found out I was born on a sun sign cusp. Which makes me have the personalities of two signs. Aries & Taurus. Also known as the Power cusp! I had no idea there was cusps.
