how come a lot of the layouts people have made look weird in diaries?

I've noticed that too. I think it has to do with Bloop getting a new layout - the layouts kind of changed around when the new taskbar at the top was implemented.
I think there is a code or something to make them look normal. Comment layouts were also stretched out.

I'm not sure. I think it was listed in Bloop News recently. I think you'd have to read through the comments.
OR, now that I think about it, it's a code that the layout makers have to change themselves.

unfortunately a lot of those diaries have other things to do - so they are unable to fix it.. however there is a way to fix the layouts..

yeah, i definitely wouldn't expect people to fix them on their own. if i had a layout diary full of layouts to fix, i probably wouldn't do it :x

Basically, in 99% of cases, it's a quick fix: find where you have div code, e.g.



And add "px" after the numbers, i.e.

I did this with all of my layouts, and it fixed every single one of them. Proof it works! ;D

Awesome, I was hoping I would find the answer to that... I hate the way my layout looks at the moment... So after ALL the pixel numbers in the div code, add px?

Ok..this may sound stupid...I'm having a "non-functioning brain" day. When I go to diaries, if I want to click to see their front page - I can't get to it any more. Previously there was the menu on the right hand side where you could click "front page" and be taken to the diarists front page - but that seems to have disappeared and now I can't figure out for the life of me how to get a diarists front page once I'm in the entry I was/am reading.

You can't, yet - it's not your brain. xD Steve is working on it. =)

Oh I'm glad. Im kind of fond of my brain and didn't want it to be faulty.
