I'm just curious, enough to where I went and made this, but I wanted to know for the people who do date interracially, why do you date interracially? Is there a specific reason? Because I was asked that question, and I honestly can't come up with a reason.

Well I don't think it's really about color when it comes to dating. I have been with my husband for 3 years now, and we are both white. I have dated black guys before, but there really wasn't a specific reason I just liked them and thought they were hot. It's not like I went around looking for a black man, it just happened.

To be quite honest, you shouldn't have to come up with a reason you date inter-racially. The person who asked you that question should have to explain why they asked it, or why they don't. There is no reason NOT to. I understand that some people seem to have this idea that you should stick to your own race, but in all honesty, I don't think there is one person on this planet who would exist as themselves if everyone had ever just stuck to their own race.

And if we want to get technical, you ARE dating your own race, given that I assume they are all human, right? ;-)

I slept with a black guy once, because he totally looked like Usher. But I was going through a black guy phase, and the sex with him was so bad that I don't find black men attractive anymore... strange how the mind works!

Oh and I don't know if a Turk counts as different race? Like, they're also European but they're so dark. Anyway, my first love was Turkish and I dated him because FUCK ME he was bloody beautiful.

But some people just don't find people of other races attractive. Just down to personal taste I reckon at the end of the day.

Well... I live in Australia and Im Latino. I dont have much of a choice... lol, what can I say I love white chicks! Really it all depends on the girl, no matter where they are from.

I date interracially because I love her, and it has absolutely nothing to do with her race.

I'm Italian and dating an Asian, but race doesn't really come into it... he's a nice guy and I like spending time with him!

I don't see why anyone would have to have a reason, other than being attracted to the person that they're with.
And just the fact that they like being with them, wanting to see if their significant other turns out to be their "love".

But I do know people who do it for specific reasons.
I knew a girl who once said that she wanted to marry a black man, just so she could have a mixed baby.
Because she thought that they were "prettier" than normal babies.

I thought that was rather odd.

I'm white.. I've dated white and black guys. I've currently been with my boyfriend (Tyrone) for four years now. There is nothing specific reason why i chose to date interracially. He treats me the best I've ever been treated, he makes me happy, he's a pain in my ass too lol but at the end of the day all I want is to be with him. So.. thats why I'm with him.

I rarely dated interracially but I married interracially, although most people dont realize it looking at pictures.
It just so happened he's who I fell in love with. We were best friends for quite some time before we realized that we were more then best friends.
But then even while dating it wasnt like I was deciding who to date based on ethnic background. What a persons ethnic background is has never mattered much to me for any reason


however sadly the fact that it does matter to some people has recently become a very real life lesson for my oldest daughter

I was in a long-distance relationship for a while with a Filipino dude, and it honestly was no thing for me. He thought it was cool, but he's also now engaged to a Spanish girl. For me it was that we clicked really well and the race thing never was an issue to me. We talked about the looks we'd get or how people might react...we thought we were stronger than it, and it sure wasn't what broke us up. My reason was/is that I date who I wanna date, regardless of race. Age and other things...those are factors. I don't believe that race should be one, ever.

It's sad that in this day and age, though, some people still feel confined to one demographic or race in the dating area...

Eh, I've dated girls of all races, and the defining characteristic is she just has to be hot. No fatties, uggos, skanks, or trolls. Whatever race a chick is, it doesn't matter. She just gotta look good.

Im sure none of those girls you listed off would want to date you anyway.. not with that kind of attitude. Gross.

I've never dated out of my race... maybe because I don't know anybody outside of my race. I don't know ANY black people. I know a handful of Asians... but not very well. Yeah, I need to get out more!

I dated a Mexican boy once. I did it because I liked him, I liked talking to him, I liked practicing Spanish with him, and because he was REALLY hot.

Mostly because I was into his personality.

I've dated a filipino guy once, and it never bothered me. I had no reason as to why, just that I liked him. Their race shouldn't matter!

like with me, the best thing i can think of other than the fact I don't care what color they are is the fact that I have more in common with non-black girls than I do with them. In all, I pretty much have a white persons personality, even though such a thing doesn't exist.
