I work at target and I'm hearing (a lot of us are) that we are closing! I'm not sure just that target or the entire target coorperation

I am -- I can still have communication with people like typing back and forth, paper and pen, and some knows a little sign lang

Did u think deaf people can't communicate at all? Some deaf people are good on talkin but reads lips very well

If i had to type back and forth or write on a piece of paper to communicate with staff i would either leave or find someone else.

That can be discrimation there's many things I can do that doesn't involve in talkin to a lot of people if I'm not comforable with it such as unload the trucks (which I do) and stock

Besides I can read lips and talk but I'm not perfect some can't understand me cuz it can sound "blurry" but for those who knows me picks up what I'm saying besides I work when the store isn't open and that was my choice cuz I can get my work out the way I'm doing

Not meaning to jump in here or anything-I normally try to avoid drama but if you're calling Amber a liar for being deaf, you're wrong. She's deaf and I know her in real life. I've known her since we were in elementary school. She's not a chronic liar.

Deaf people can and do work with other people just fine. I'm deaf myself and I worked in a lab for almost two years making prescription lenses for people who wear glasses/prescription sunglasses. Before that, I worked in a landscaping company. Yes it's hard but we have a limited choice on what jobs we can take and right now with the economy, I'd take any job, even if the communication was frustrating. When you have to live with your deafness your whole life, you become used to the hardships.

Again, not trying to start any drama or anything.

It sounds like you have issues with her that have nothing to do with whether or not she's losing her job.
