C'mon. Who didn't see that one coming? Still it's sad though. I just hope the kids are going to understand and that they aren't forced to choose sides between their parents.

i normally dont care -- i dont watch that show i just find it silly for them to make a show about a family of 8 kids... but hey thats what the media wants or the rest of the world wants i didnt even know the show existed till i saw "they are getting a divorce" i cant say im surprised... cuz im not it just seems like alot of the celeberites are giving up so easily in a marriage -- it takes hard work or anyone giving up... divorce rate has gotten so high its sad...

oh well im sure the kids will understand joint custody simple as that gonna b hard on em but its pretty common they are willing to watch thier kids go through this as well

it was so obvious.. I don't think any of them cheated.. I just think kate became too good for everyone & selfish.. she needs to remember where she came from(the trailer park!).
she's putting everything else before her kids. and she isn't doing it "for the kids", meaning the show & book signing. last time I checked kids don't care about having a show or if their mother goes tanning, gets her hair/nails done & dresses in designer clothes. she's all about the money. those kids will never have a chance at a normal life....

and she even got a tummy tuck for free because they felt bad for her. Sheesh, where's my tummy tuck?

I guess we need to get knocked up with a bunch of babies at once too and then maybe we will have it. Im wondring if the show itself broke the family up. it seems that the stress of having every minute of your life taped would do that. I dont' think you should do a show for money but because you want to inform people.

Okay, they don't have this show on free-to-air on Australian TV...but I read enough gossip websites to keep me updated :P I think its sad when any couple get a divorce, it's not easy and it's especially not easy on the kids. But hopefully this will teach Kate a lesson. I saw a video on youtube of her denying her own daughter a glass of water - then she opened a bottle for HERSELF and drank it - INFRONT of her daughter. I think kate is incredibly cruel toward her kids, I think fame has gotten to her and I really hope this divorce is a wake up call for her.

I really do too. As someone who's parents divorced it's really hard but really rewarding when they wind up re-marrying one another. Mine never moved out of the house and still stayed together even though they weren't married. I truly hope they can fix things and take time for themselves.

I only caught the end of the episode last night (hopefully my tivo worked this week). I almost cried, but I would've probably gotten made fun of, so I held it it. =[
I hope they get back together sometime. ugh.

i think that if it wasnt for the show their lives wouldnt be so complicated and they would have had a chance. but in all honesty they are probably under contract and cannot quit the show. that and they have grown accustom to all the money they get from the show. how would they continue to have the luxuries they have now without it? this whole divorce scanal is probably bringing their rates through the roof as well so i doubt TLC would just let them walk away.

i think kate lost track of what was important along time ago. she turned herself into one of those celebrity moms. (i mean the duggars have been on air for a few yrs now and they arent letting the money affect their lives. i think the only thing i have seen the duggars do that maybe a lil outrageous spending is buying a house that is big enough for their gynormous family. other than that they still live a rather simple life.)

kate and jon let the money change them and lost sight of who they once were and what they originally wanted. now they are complaining about the paparazzi and all the media hype and how ridiculous it is. but they come on TV every week and talk about their lives. What do they expect? Jon said tonight it really is no ones business. He is right but when he comes on TV and talks about it he is inviting everyone who is watching into his business.

Actually, I totally agree with you on this. Their lives probably wouldn't be as complicated if they weren't on television. There are PLENTY of families in the US (let alone the world) that have 8 or sometimes more children and we never hear about it. I hate that people like this are placed in the spotlight. Sure, it's a big deal that she had 6 kids at one time. It's pretty crazy, and yes, rare, but honestly...leave them alone. You know?

Kate and Jon really did let the money get to them. I tried to watch the show several times, but they are both so obnoxious I shut it off. Kate is whiny and clearly not appreciative of the things she has and continues to get, and Jon is very rude. I can't stand either of them, and I truly hope their show doesn't continue. They are overrated and seriously need a realty check.
