I can speak Arabic and English Fluently... I know a tiny bit of French (took only one semester at school) and I can count to ten in French, Chechen, Spanish and Hebrew XD

Oh... &I forgot to answer my own questions ;D
I can only speak English fluently :( Unfortunately. &can speak a bit of French, Russian and Dutch. I know a few phrases in Tagalog and Italian. I'd love to be able to speak French very well - and am going to focus on that! The other languages I'd love to learn is Italian, Spanish, German and improve my Russian :D |

I can speak some taglog and some Norwegian. I'm not fluent in either. And of course, English.
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
Ooh, Norwegian! :) It's very similar to Swedish, apparently.
Tagalog is an awesome language! Too bad I've forgotten most of what I used to know ;D |

English for sure. I can read Latin. I know enough Polish to have survived a year in Poland but I'm not fully fluent in it. I'm procrastinating learning Spanish. I honestly don't care about Spanish but since a huge majority of people around where I live speak Spanish only and most jobs in my career strongly prefer bilingual in Spanish, it's necessary.

Polish is a really difficult language, apparently!

A little bit of French which I remember from high school. And the odd Welsh word or two!
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
Welsh? Ooh :)

I have basic conversational Spanish, moderate German (always needs more work), obviously English, and I know a few random words and saying in other languages.
annyeong haseyo. je iremeun Antikörper imnida. kamsa hamnida. annyeonghi gyeseyo. |

He he - what's that language?

kein mitleid Post Count: 592 |

Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
That's awesome :D Do you also know how to write in Korean?
|
kein mitleid Post Count: 592 |
Nope. I just know those few phrases.
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |

English, evidently. Enough French to get by. I can count up to ten in German. Lol. I'd love to be fluent in another language, but I'm too lazy.
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
I've been a bit lazy with languages, also, but that's going to change in the New Year :)

I struggle with English, yo!!! hahaha, I can speak basic Italian, German, and French. At my old job, I had to greet and chat with the tourists, so it really is just the basic conversationary stuff like, "How are you? Where are you from? Are you having fun?" Although after a couple of drinks I swear I am fluent in all three languages!! hahaha.
My friend's South African girlfriend has been teaching me to speak Africaans lately too. Though I admit, I'm shit! I can also write and read Teeline Shorthand. Which looks somewhere in between Arabic and Hieroglyphs! I'm currently at about 80 words a minute... I need to be upto 120 words a minute by February. It's intense!! |
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
He he ;D Good luck with that!

I speak English, obviously. I am also fairly fluent in Spanish. (Hopefully, considering I'm majoring in it!)
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
Spanish is a nice language :) How long have you been learning it for?
|
valerieeeee Post Count: 274 |
8 years. I love it. I study it in college and I've been to Mexico twice.
|
Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
Wow - that's a very long time so you must be quite fluent at it :)

English, Japanese, I can understand basic Uchinaguchi (Okinawan dialect), and I took a year of Mandarin Chinese in high school but had to drop it the second year to make room for a required course. :( I wish I was allowed to stick with it, but oh well. I'm planning on taking up French in college.

Lady Elphaba Post Count: 386 |
Hopefully, you can continue to learn that language in the future :) French is a fantastic and very useful language to know :D
