okay, I'm just wondering, has anyone else had trouble trying to embed a youtube video into an entry? I've tried to do it on 2 seperate diaries (one with out a layout, one with) and it wont show up either way, I'm using internet explorer 8, just so you're wondering, but yeah, is anyone else having this problem

No, I'm afraid I've never had a problem embedding. I use Firefox though. :/

No problems for me. I just copy/paste the embed code straight from the Youtube site. Have never had a problem. I use Firefox as well.

Keep in mind however, if you JUST uploaded a video to Youtube, it can take an hour or so before the video actually becomes available. You should still see a video player on your diary, it just won't play the video until it gets approved.
