Hey everyone, for those of you that haven't heard, a near-record setting typhoon has affected over a million people in the Philippines. It is being said this typhoon dumped more water on them than Katrina did on NOLA.
I have been trying to find sites where I can donate in USD instead of PHP for emergency funds, and here are two I came across: You can donate through TXTPower's various methods here: http://www.txtpower.org/ Or, here is an American charity that is providing emergency relief to the Philippines as well: http://ur.lc/b0j For reference, $1.00 American ~ 47 Philippine pesos MANILA, Philippines – The number of fatalities caused by typhoon “Ondoy” is now at 240, the National Disaster Coordinating Council announced (NDCC) today (Sept. 29).
