A day in the life that keeps going on...

Fourth of July.

07/04/2009

Each day that passes I've been spending more and more time with Peter. Before we left on Thursday for Port Orchard on the 3rd, we went to the reserve to pick up a bunch of fireworks. My step dad Tony knew the guy from work so we got an under the counter deal. At this moment I was really looking forward to spending the weekend with Peter. Peter's parents were out of town for the fourth of July weekend visiting his older sister in Boston, perfect. I was also invited to a couple parties in PO, wanting to introduce me to his friends. The third came and went.

We slept in as late as we could the next day, and then made our way over to Gibson's dad, Jim's house. We spent most of the fourth there until around nine. Jim sent Peter and I on some errands and then smoked Sam, Peter and me out. Once it got dark at nine we headed over to his friend's Nathan's house. He had told me beforehand that Nathan was in the military for a couple of years as a medic. He wasn't on the front lines but saw those who were, at their worst. Peter let me know that it has effected him, but I still enjoyed hanging out with him. Peter's family friend Micah and her boyfriend, Brandon were both friendly towards me as well. I ended up getting trashed because Peter was driving home. (Crunk is the way to go!) But by the time we arrived at the party most everyone was already drunk and/or stoned. We ended up leaving some of the fireworks there. & we all got so trashed, we forgot to set off all the fireworks available.Whoops, at least there will be more for new years.

The following day we spent with Peter's best friend, Chris. It had gotten too late to set off the sparkler bomb Peter wanted, so we made plans to set it off on the fifth.
It was the first sparkler bomb I've ever seen, though Peter and Chris were disappointed in the explosion I thought the whole thing was silly. They were disappointed because they didn't get as big of an explosion as expected. We didn't get the right type of sparklers, and there was only magnesium on half of the sparkler. Only means there's room for improvement.

I can't wait to go back to Port Orchard to see everyone again, this fourth of July was a lot of fun.
