All things considered the past week or so hasn't been too bad. My dad is back to expressing concern that I'm not getting enough exercise, and he still refuses to smoke anywhere around me. Or Kaitie (Colin's girlfriend) for that matter. Which is good. She's not allergic to cigarette smoke according to her allergist... which is um you know bullshit. Because some how her sinuses magically become stuffed up, she gets a splitting headache and gets really dizzy when exposed to a rather modest amount (coming from the girl who can identify what mood her dad is in by the brand he's currently smoking... using the smell of the smoke alone) of smoke. Wood fire smoke is okay, so she's cool up at camp and such. But she's not "allergic" to cigarette smoke, no not at all. :/
Poor thing has just been labeled "sensitive" like I was at age ten or so, sensitive to any sort of adhesive for the longest time. Band aids can make still me break out in a rash. Am I allergic? Not according to a Dr. No I'm just "sensitive"... spoken in a suck up voice, like it was something I was doing just to bother him and worry my mother. We don't have that Dr anymore. But it still irks me that he dismissed something that could have been a problem because he thought he knew better than the patient.
Enough grumbling for now I guess.
The Dr.'s appointment the other day (Monday) went well. Got a few questions out of the way, and met one of the other Dr.s in the practice as well. He's happy with my weight gain so far, considering the fact that I've been craving what most people consider "diet food". Spinach and Spring Mix salad with dried fruit, sugared pecans, and some sort of mild vinaigrette dressing. Dead serious this child wants Momma to be a rabbit.
I'm up to 159lbs(a little 72kg for you metric bloopheads) now though, and at 4 almost 5 months pregnant, that's good.
The heartbeat is still around 130-140bpm so still in the right range, as it doesn't slow down until my little McNizzlett is a bit bigger.
My kid brother Colin expressed an interest in coming to the next appointment to hear the heart beat. Which almost made me cry a little. He's not an emotional kind of guy, but his face kind of lit up when I said he could come. It was ridiculously cute.
Work has been uneventful most of the week, with the exception of a mini tantrum from yours truly.
I was really frustrated with the girl I worked with and may have snapped a tad. But I tried to keep my words controlled so I didn't just fly off the handle on her.
Just a little irritated with myself because baby can hear just about. And my Squish doesn't need negative energy just yet.
Ahhh well.
I've been going over my list of names. Talking about it with my mom... and my little brother tonight at well. That's the first time I've really talked with him about anything other than the more serious side of having a baby.
So far my top 5 (6 for Boys actually) are as follows...
Girls
Sarah Lillee
Charlotte Madeline
Sydney Mae
Scarlett Victoria
Norah Grey
Boys
Willard Clifford
Archer Grant
Seth James
Ryder Justin
Henry Grey
Dashiell Scott (Yes I know the iell makes it seem kind of fem... Name a kid Sue in a song and you're awesome though)
Colin has put his vote in for either Sarah or Charlotte for a girl, and Willard or Seth for a boy. "Cause the girl names are like... pretty. And the guys... Seth is just badass."
The fact that Willard is our dad's name as well as our Papap Builds Houses given name was probably his deciding factor in that one.
I'm hugely in like with Ryder Justin at the moment. But I suppose we'll see on the 10th... which is now in.... 5 days!!!! *squeeeeeeee*!!
Gonna go get some sleep now. Name input would be appreciated.
