| So...
My baby... she's three days late if you don't count the due date.
The little brat gave us a pretty good shock last night though.
Chevey (one of the "extra brothers") had just come over to hang out for a while cause we have air conditioning (and his step dad isn't here) and I got a Braxton Hicks contraction... only it hurt... kind of a lot really.
On a pain scale of 1-10, one being I could sleep through it and 10 being I want to die or kill something to make it stop, this one was about a 5.
Normally they're barely even uncomfortable.
Then about an hour later I got another one that lasted longer.
They started getting pretty regular... to the point where Chevey, (sweet kid that he is) got up, went and grabbed my bear (I am 27 I sleep with a teddy bear... mock me and die) as well as my favorite blanket and a couple of pillows, and sat on the couch with me, timing the contractions for me.
His mom had three more children after she had him, the oldest of his siblings is... 10 I think? So he was probably the best person to have with me after my mother.
The pain went up to about a 6 to a 7 at one point.
So at about midnight I went and told my mom.
Who came in and took over timing, while Chevey got a stop watch and timed how long they were.
They lasted about 1-3 minutes and were about 2-5 minutes apart on average.
An hour after that, since my water hadn't broken, I called the Dr, while my mom triple checked and made sure the bag for the baby was packed and I had a clean change of clothes and the paperwork (IE my health insurance card) and that my camera was functioning. The camera was packed in the baby's bag but sometimes it's evil and eats the battery when it shouldn't, so I've got the charger packed as well.
The Dr said, get this, that I sounded to calm.
I understand that most people freak out... but ummmm I've been pretty damned chill this whole pregnancy.
So... Grrr to that.
I understand that he didn't want me coming in and then just having to turn around... but he was a little condescending and sort of gave me the "Okay Crazy Pregnant Lady." voice, and told me that since it's my first baby and my water hadn't broken, and I hadn't had a contraction during our conversation (I had it just wasn't as strong and he'd been talking so my breathing was pretty even since I'd just been breathing through lots of them for the past three fucking hours) that I should see if I could get some rest.
And if they got worse to come in, especially if my water broke.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to reach through the flip him off or just hang up.
I know my tone of voice was bitchy when we hung up. Didn't feel bad about that.. still don't.
Chevey said it looked like I was gonna hit something when I hung up... so he brought me a piece of cake from the kitchen lol.
Smart boy that one.
So I did try and get some sleep... the contractions faded off gradually and were mostly gone by about 5am... which is when I fell asleep.
So they went down to about a 1 on the scale... which for me is pretty much nothing.
I've had an odd tolerance for pain my whole life... could turn out to be a good thing. We'll see when I'm really in labor I guess.
Still... false labor sucks... especially when my mom calls off of work and then ends up sleeping on the couch with me and we both get really sore necks and end up cranky with each other most of the day.
Not fun.
Today wasn't so bad after we took a nice long nap.
Woke up about 11am and got breakfast, sat in the backyard with Crazy and the dog until it got too hot for me... which only took about 15 minutes... and it was too hot for the dog too lol.
As soon as I made a move for the door she was right there like "Okay let's go! I want inside now!"
We went out for a bit to take my Grandma Kitty some plants that we got for her and price a new harness for the dog.
Went out to see my older brother and watched the boys ( Colin my little brother was with us) act like boys whilst playing video games.
Pretty much they talked smack and yelled a lot.
It was pretty funny.
Today (seeing as it's about 3:30am) I'm gonna be going to the Dr's and talking about options for induction and what not.
Not something I really want to do... but if they say that the baby's health is at risk then out she comes.
They're going to hook up an fetal heart rate monitor and stuff and see that she's still okay and all that... maybe finally someone will give me a size estimate.
No idea why they haven't done that yet.
Maybe they'll recommend having an ultrasound done to guess better or something... we'll see.
Either way... I'm sleepy.
So it's off to bed with us finally.
....
Someone tell my child not to pull the fire alarm without evacuating the building.
It's rude.
