Why does my daughter smell like pancakes?
Sunday was my first day at work since having Elora. It feels really weird. I'm still having issues with the fact that my daughter is 7 weeks old already. And now I have to add Giant Eagle and all it's wonderful issues to the mix.
Seriously that store is insane.
Someone is always mad at someone for doing something, or saying something, or not doing anything.
It's kind of like being back in high school.
I did miss lots of the regular customers... and being at home all day was starting to make me a little crazy... but I still didn't want to go back to work.
I only cried hard core yesterday.
Right before I went to work... I was sitting on the couch cuddling with Elora after we'd finished nursing, and I just started crying.
Not cool.
I sucked it up and went to work for 8 hours though.
And now I'm off all weekend.
Which is nice.
I came home last night and Chevey was visiting with Elora.
He's her Giant. He should visit as often as possible. He was going to come see her in the hospital when she was born, but his body went and grew another brain tumor and he had to have surgery. No I'm not kidding.
He grows tumors sometimes.
Look up Von Hippel–Lindau syndrome. He has it.
He's all healed up from the last one now.
So he came for a visit.
When I say he's Elora's Giant... I mean it.
The kid is 6'5".
Andrew and Elora
So before Crazy went to bed, she came in to say goodnight. Told me how well I'm doing breastfeeding and pumping so that they have bottles to feed Elora while I'm at work.
And we were sitting on the couch with the baby laughing cause she was giggling and part of her hair would just not lay flat.
I'd try and push it down and it would pop right back up.
Crazy laughed and said she knew why it wouldn't stay down.
Apparently my dad had French Toast yesterday.
And he didn't wipe his mouth off before he picked up Elora for a cuddle.
"Grandpa got maple syrup in my hair again!"
Crazy combed it out so that she isn't sticky or anything.. but my kid smells like a breakfast buffet.
