Hmmmm...... I haven't updated in a while... Moslty cause I can't stop staring at my daughter.
And when Elora is asleep... Mostly so am I. But i figured since she's napping now and she had a doctor's appointment today (flipping love her pediatrician group... they have open hours adn are open on Saturday) so I should keep my bloop friends updated.
She's a pound over her birthweight now. On the dot. Which is really really good for her age.
The girl loves to eat.
See the double chin?
Momma's Little Buddha Baby
The Dr says she's super alert for her age.
I kind of already knew that... but everyone says that about their kids.
She's been gradually getting more upset the past few days though. And there was this funny white patchy skin inside her little mouth. Her crankyness got to the level where she was trying to feed and once or twice she was still trying to cry... at the same time lol.
So I knew something was wrong.
Started looking things up and trying not to be the crazy hypochondriac mother at the same time.
Told my mom that I thought she might have thrush (which is normal but can over grow... and harmless aside from causing discomfort)... Mom thought she just had milk mouth. But I pushed and she said that we could take her this morning.
She has thrush. Mommy's intuition wins this round.
Anyway... aside from the thrush, she's fine. Healthy and happy and growing.
And I'm happier than I've been in a long long time.
Pretty sure the crazy hormones are starting to taper off lol.
She is adorrrrrrable!!! I had thrush once (as an adult) and it is SO incredibly painful! I know it is more common in babies (I took a medication that encouraged the overgrowth and I was already sick so not eating well enough to combat it) and probably not as painful but I'm glad you caught it before it got worse! It was so painful that I make sure to eat yogurt on a daily basis now to combat it.
Make sure you watch the boobies so you don't get thrush on them! Well, it's called something else I think... but my friend had it and it's ridiculously painful!
