joshua and i had our first wedding anniversary this week. i can't believe it's been a year already! it seems like only a few months ago that we were on the beach with our nearest and dearest.

we went out for dinner at the keg mansion (josh's favourite!) then home to cuddle and watch tv in bed. we're so adventurous, right? i think that anniversary celebration is likely on par with our wedding night, when josh went to the casino, while i stayed in our room, read a book, threw up, and went to bed at 10pm. ballers, over here.

it's storming like crazy over here. i got my car stuck on the ramp out of our parking garage this morning. long story short, the ramp is very steep. i tried to get out and slid back down, and the car skidded and turned while i did so, angling my end towards the wall/side of the ramp. thank god i managed to stop just before i hit it. if i'd damaged my car i would have been so so uspet. so there i was, stuck. i had no traction to move forward and no room to reverse.i called josh, who thankfully hadn't left for work yet, and before he even got downstairs, a lovely young man i'd never even seen before was there to help me. it took a while, but the two of them managed to dig me out, clearing small paths and cleaning the slush off my front tires to let me get enough traction and move forward enough to straighten out and reverse back into the garage. that nice young man will be getting a thank you note and a gift card slipped into his mailbox for sure.
while i was stuck the car i contacted work and made sure they knew the situation. once got the car back in the garage the super finally showed up and cleared the ramp off properly, but after that debacle, and knowing that there was already coverage at work, i declared a snow day for myself. i feel guilty that josh helped dig me out, then still had to go to work, while i came upstairs to put on sweats and have a cozy, lazy day, but i'll figure out a way to make it up to him. i guess that's just how life goes sometimes.
