i have been 100% ignoring writing lately. i really shouldn't, because for a change things are actually happening, and when i don't write them down i forget, or they pile up and i don't feel like writing a long entry i'm sure no one will read.
in a nutshell, my birthday was last friday. as per my request, we had a super low key night. josh wanted to take me out for a nice dinner and yada yada, and him wanting to spoil me was a sweet sentiment, but i really just wanted to lay low. so we did. zach, caitlin, and andrew ended up coming over, and we just ate pizza, talked shit, and watched the game. and what a game! adam lind set up a triple play, and i was the happiest girl in the world.
saturday my mom came down and we went shopping. i didn't buy much, just a couple of tank tops really, but it was nice to hang out with my mom. we haven't had an all-day shop in a long time. she bought me an adorable clutch for my brithday. i picked it out on a total whim when we were in danier, and i adore it. it will be perfect for baseball games, and other such outings where i don't want to bring a full purse, but need more than just a debit card.
mom and i went out for dinner, then came home and watched moneyball, because how can you not be romantic about baseball?
this whole week has been fuelled by my excitement for my party on friday. facebook has been blowing up with hilarious plans and comments. i bought snacks and cups and such, they're sitting ready to go to the hotel. holland is providing 100 wings. sarah is coming over tomorrow night to help me make cupcakes. i've got all the laundry done so i can pack an overnight bag and have it ready to go as of tomorrow. after work on friday i plan to change and head straight down to the hotel. thank god my friends are all chill and no one plans to dress up for this dealie. |
