i'm at my mum's and it's lovely.
we went and got a ton for travel books today, and i'd say we're about 90% sure on the domincan republic, specifically punta cana. there are a few resorts in the running... we'll have to do some more research but there is tons of time. the prices for 2012 won't even be released for 6 months or so, there's no immediate rush to book.
i took the plunge and asked mom about having the reception here, at her place. it's a go, numbers permitting! if the guest list trumps what we feel we can host here [i'm ballparking 75 at most] we'll have to look at another location, and we've already got a couple in mind. again, more than enough time to figure it out - the reception is nearly 2 years away.
we're working on the guest list as best we can. i've got quickie preliminary numbers in my head, but i'm not finished with the entire list yet. not to mention the changes that can come up between now and the day [a yearish from now?] that we post the invitations.

I'm also stoked about you and joshy taking the plunge. My sister in law did her honey moon in the DR and she loved it. I can ask her specifically which resort if you want.
