i ran my fastest km/mile today, and my farthest distance/longest run time yesterday. i believe this answers last week's question about fresh legs on weekend runs vs. tired legs after work on weekdays.
i think i'm being spoiled on the treadmill, because i set its pace and have little choice but to keep up. i have a feeling that my times will increase once it's nice enough to run outdoors, but i guess all i can do is wait and see, and try to push myself to do the best that i can.
i've lost about 13 lbs.
work is atrocious and literally makes me cry. i got home friday afternoon and just sobbed. poor joshua, he's a saint for putting up with me sometimes.
on the bright side, i've got a 4 day weekend coming up, which i'm really looking forward to. josh works till 4 thursday (i'm off) then we're heading straight up to my parents for easter weekend. it will be so fantastic to unwind and be with my family. we've got plans to go to a hockey game on thursday night, maybe have lunch with my dad/siblings on friday, and we're doing our big easter dinner with my parents, and my brother and his partner on saturday night. i hope the weather is nice because there are a few trails up there i'd really like to walk.
i don't remember if i posted here about it, but i finished my no resto challenge. it ended monday, josh and i went for sushi tuesday and it was fantastic.
i left dinner feeling so satisfied, both by the food, and that i had made it a month and completed a personal challenge. i have yet to eat/order out for lunch at work. i haven't had any fast food. i feel good.
i figure i saved somewhere around $200 in not having takeaway or going out to eat for those 4 weeks. i happily put that money into a good sports bra, an armband for running, and some new shoes. i love them all.
