i got back late last night from a weekend with family in saskatchewan. i don't even have words for what an amazing time i had. i hadn't seen many of my extended family for 10 years and it was just an all around great time. we ate, and drank, and visited. we toured the gorgeous theatre named for my great grandmother. we stayed up till 4 am being ridiculous. everything about my sense of humour makes sense when i'm with my family. it asounds me that we all live such different lives, all over the country, and see one another every 10 years, and it's like nothing has changed. that family embodies the adage that blood is thicker than water. they're hilarious and honest and open and they love me.
between the late nights this weekend, the travel, and the time change, i was exhausted today. 100% worth it tho. what a great weekend. |
