as usual, i don't want this weekend to end.
i've been lazy, tho i did get 4 loads of laundry washed, folded, and put away yesterday. i also managed to avoid helping my friend move in downstairs [josh helped in my stead, bless his heart] and got my new loveseat. the living room is cozy and sweet. i'm not entirely happy with it, but it will do for now until we can get new blinds installed, allowing us to move the tv where i'd like it to go. essentially we're going to take the room as it's set up now and rotate it 90 degrees, which will give us room to put the shelf we bought at ikea this morning behind the couch as a sofa table.
i went to lauren's last night. we had pizza, caught up, played with her brand new kitty, and watched 10 things i hate about you. i also told her about my brilliant theme party idea: 1995! as expected, she ran with it. we've got a pretty solid list started for inspiration. in case you were unaware, 1995 was a banner year for film [empire records, clueless, mallrats, tommy boy, billy madison, now and then, dangerous minds, etc.], which was what started the ball rolling, but there was also some pretty fab music, and sweet fashion of course. i'm thinking this will be my birthday shindig, tho only if people are actually going to come. i'm not wasting such a potentially badass night on 3 guests.
tuesday night we're going to see the leafs play the panthers, and i'm super stoked for it! it'll be my first regulation season leafs game! i've seen them play pre-season, in winnipeg, and caught an old-timers charity game at the acc once, but i'm really really excited for a "real" game. the best part: the tickets were free! long story short, a friend of josh's won them and can't use them, so he met us at ikea this morning and gave us the tickets. also amazing is the fact that i get to debut these babies:
