well, we picked up our bed today. thankfully, everything fit in our car with no problem. i also looked at the model they had set up in the store, and it looks like the "modifications" i hope to make will be possible.
in true furniture-assembly fashion, we managed to be short with one another and get in a fight just getting the boxes into the apartment. we decided to wait until tomorrow to put it together, tho it looks pretty simple to do. our friend krysta will be hanging out with josh tomorrow afternoon, then staying for dinner, so i'm wondering if having another person here while we try to put the frame together will encourage us to keep our cool. i'm also planning to make our famous chicken vegetable lasagna for dinner, and cooking together usually puts us in a pretty great mood.
so, tomorrow is: work [hopefully my horrible boss doesn't make an appearance], home, throw laundry [aka new sheets] in the washer, assemble lasagna [i cooked the chicken/onions/garlic today - tomorrow's only chopping will be broccoli], assemble bed, eat lasagna, entertain krysta. seems do-able, right?
my house needs a good cleaning, and i just... never feel like doing it. i hate washing floors and scrubbing baseboards and all of those shitty chores that involve more than just tidying up a little, so i just keep putting them off, and they're not going to do themselves.
