our trip to london was a success!
jesse cleaned out her makeup drawer the other day and passed along these cast-offs to me:
most of it hasn't even been opened; the things that have been were used once or twice. there has to nearly $100 worth of makeup there. score.
i bought some shadow for my brows and got a quick lesson from jes about how to fill them in. using this knowledge and my hand-me-down makeup, i managed to look pretty cute for dinner last night, if i do say so myself:
we went for dinner at my all time favourite thai place with emilia and joel, michelle, and leeann. i had my usual shrimp rolls and deluxe pad thai. joshua went with his standby humungous bowl of soup.
we were stuffed after dinner but headed downtown to meet emilia and joel for a drink. we went to a place that didn't exist when i lived in london, called the church key. the menu was so tempting, and the food looked and smelled delicious, but we were so full from dinner that we just had a couple of drinks and some fun conversation.
josh and i got to sleep in this morning and it was so nice. i think it's cute that we always reserve a king sized bed when we stay in hotels but then complain about how it's too big and we'd never want one. we were cuddled up, skin to skin, on my half of the bed for most of the night.
we met up with jesse again around 10:45 for breakfast. more conversation and laughs, i love that girl. i mayyyyy have been convinced to stop at ben thanh's for another order of pad thai to bring home for dinner, then it was back to toronto. we made amazing time and were home from london in 2 hours. cue relaxing on the couch and clearing the pvr. all in all, this has been a great long weekend. |
