i haven't been into writing here the last little while. i guess i just feel like i don't have anything to say. or when i do have something to say, i'm not near the computer and by the time i am, it just doesn't seem worthwhile. meh. i'm still reading faves, and i pretty much check the site compulsively.
work's okay. we're shortstaffed right now, but the bossman interviewed someone today and i know he's serious about getting everything back on track. in the meantime, they're not booking me too insanely in mammo, which is nice.
outside of work, life is both random and monotonous. yes, the two can coexist. my parents came down 2 weekends ago, and brought dora. that was interesting. we didn't do much, but it was nice to have them here. it's strange having your parents visit you, stay in your guest room and junk.
this weekend my friend and former roommate elena is coming to town for the night. i haven't seen her since before she moved to taiwan to teach for a few years. actually, i think it's been 5 years since i last saw her. i cannot wait to catch up and be ridiculous with that lady! our reunion may coincide with macaroni madness, an event i just invented as an excuse to make a lot of macaroni and cheese and hang out with zuber, his girlfriend, davisville boys, possibly holland and his new girlfriend [as he seems eager to show her off], and whoever else is around. then again, lains and i might just order a pizza, drink a lot of wine, and watch good will hunting while talking over it about everything that happened while we lived together and everything that has happened since.
i'm still loving toronto so much.
lauren and i text each other during jeopardy nightly. nerdfriends! i should really get around to trying out. being on/owning jeopardy is still high on the life list.
i randomly dyed my hair the other day, so it's time to get vain:
