i never write anymore.
i mostly just take a hundred instagram photos and tweet a million things.
joshua is waiting to be interviewed for a transfer. the district manager who would be taking him on has been very busy, and is now on vacation for the week, so the interview should take place next week. here's hoping.
there are a lot of details (some of them terrifying) that will have to be worked out if and when that transfer goes thru. as daunting as it may be to face things like the logistics of moving, a lower income, my job prospects, we've been saying for years now that we want out of the city, and if this chance comes along to make that happen, we can't dare say no. we want out by any means possible, so if those means present themselves, we have to jump on any opportunity.
i am going to prepare an email this weekend for the job i want to apply for up in tinytown. the job posting i applied for a few weeks ago has since closed, and i was never contacted (yet again - so discouraging!) so i just have to keep my chin up and move on. i know that there will be an opening for a mat leave (my brother's friend is the preggo) so i'm really hoping to get in on that. i have spoken with the girl taking leave, and she is going to put in a good word for me. she moved from far away to be with her husband and it took her a long time to get her foot in the door, so she knows how hard it is in my position.
i have zero motivation to clean my apartment right now, but i really should. i know i'll feel better when there aren't dishes piled up on the kitchen counter and all of my clothes are put away. |
