last night was my last single lady fiesta friday. it was a really good night. so nice to see my boys!
the night ended with... a weird sort of goodbye... i think. with andrew. it was nice. strange. bittersweet. i honestly don't know if marriage will change things, or how, but if it does, i feel like last night was a good ending to how everything was, and has been, for the last few years.
i need to clean the apartment today, because my co-worker's husband agreed to paint our bedroom while we're gone. my game plan is to pick up paint and supplies, and have everything ready. then the day we're leaving, josh and i will move the bed into the guest room and move all the furniture to the centre of the room and cover it. then everything should be smooth sailing, and we'll arrive home to a nice new room.
i also have to do laundry and actually pack, as opposed to just throwing things in the general direction of my suitcase, like i've been doing for the last week or two. i cannot believe that in less than a week, i'll be drinking rum on the beach. it will be glorious! |
