i am getting SO EXCITED to bring sophie home! only 3 more sleeps!
we went down to my mom's when josh was finished work on saturday night. had a lovely dinner and spent the night. my brother and his girlfriend were hosting christmas for my dad and his kids on sunday. i had just finished boiling the pasta for my macaroni salad yesterday morning when the power went out. awesome. i literally did my makeup in the dark, and we went to alex's around 1:30. his girlfriend and i were just debating how we would manage to cook everything on the bbq, when the power came back on 10 minutes before she was planning to put the ham in the oven. so thankful that we could cook (and have heat)!
we came home last night, and thankfully our drive was a piece of cake. with all of the weather warnings, power outages, and ice storm conditions, i was a little worried that our drive would be shitty, but it wasn't.
josh is at work now. he works tomorrow, then we'll head back to mom's when he's done. i'm hoping that the roads stay clear for the next few days. we're going down tomorrow, then josh is driving home by himself christmas night. i worry about him a little, he's not as confident a winter driver as i am. he's coming home alone because he has to work early on boxing day. while he's at work like a sucker, mom and my stepdad will drive me to pick up our puppy, and bring me home. the next few days are going to be awesome!
