weekend! yes!
work was work, all week. that's really all there is to it. ever. i don't love my job, i don't hate my job. at this point in time, it's a job. and that sort of sucks, because i sort of loved my job previously. but dynamics change, and shit changes, and i don't really want to talk about it. essentially, my job now lacks the social aspect of my last job, and while i still enjoy what i do, who i do it with isn't quite so fun. regardless, i'm damn good at what i do, and i'm going to keep taking images that i'm proud of, and working hard to make that place what i want it to be. besides, it's only been 3 weeks, right?
right after work last night i headed downtown to hang out with kat. i bought some fantastic blush and a new bra, and got all caught up on the gossip from kat's end. essentially everyone i hang out with here at this point, i have met thru zuber, and 95% of them went to (niagara) college together. there's a very incestuous, entangled history (and present) among them. as an outsider, it looks like a soap opera. i'm trying not to become an insider in any real way. i mean, obviously i want to be friends with these people, but i don't want to become entagled in anyone's drama. still, it's fun/interesting/helpful to know what's going on, and who has beef with whom, so i don't put my foot in my mouth or any such thing. especially when we're going to a birthday gathering tonight, involving nearly everyone there is to possibly involve.
i'm excited to go out for dean's birthday tonight. i can't believe it's only been a week since zube's party. time is strange in toronto. i don't think i'll get nearly kas ridiculous tonight as i did last week, tho i suppose that one never knows. before we head out for dean's things my friend michelle is coming over. i can't believe i've lived here a month and haven't seen her yet. i also can't believe that she's afraid of the subway. hahaha. she's going to drive over here (from etobicoke), then we'll take the ttc to chester and have a killer dinner in greektown. i'm soooo glad that i have someone i can talk shop with, finally.
ugh, i really need to go clean the apartment.

Well, I mean you can look at it this way...what work lacks in the social life, you have outside of work, which was the opposite in Kenora, no?

There are always going to be downsides, homes. But I hope the pros outweigh the cons in this one. :]
