it's been a week since i wrote. i keep meaning to update, and then not doing it. meh. you're not missing much.
our tv is backordered. sucks, but we'll live. it should be in on dec 5th (as opposed to being there a week ago like it was supposed to be). it's a christmas gift from josh's parents so i suppose that as long as we have it by christmas we're ahead of the game. it just stinks because josh is so excited for it, and we already bought and assembled our tv stand and everything.
wednesday night lauren and zuber came over for dinner. i made chicken vegetable lasagna and we enjoyed a nice, grown-up dinner at my dining table, where we only briefly talked about poop. andrew and josh played computer games fro a while, which gave me a chance to chat solo with lauren. i'm enjoying getting to know her, and i like her a lot, tho somewhat guardedly. i'm trying not to let other people's biases weigh too heavily on my mind, but at the same time i don't want to be all "omg, we're totally bff and she's the best" only to find out i'm wrong. regardless, a very cool girl to talk celebrity gossip with.
friday evening jesse and her fiancé josh came to visit. they stayed the weekend and it was great catching up. i can't believe that i hadn't seen jesse since last year at the christmas thingy i had at my mom's place. friday night we stayed in, filling each other in on various facts and gossip while the boys played golf on the 360. i made pulled pork in my slow cooker for dinner and it was amazing. we went shopping yesterday, and out for a fantastic dinner at this greek place. their grilled calamari: so yum! today we slept in, then watched big daddy on tv. they left around 1.
tomorrow it's back to the daily grind, tho i get to sleep in because i'm working 10-6 this week. sleeping in is always good. |
